First month in 2022! How Will You Start It?

New year vibes are now surrounding us, we hope you all will enjoy your new year’s eve! So now, are you ready for the upcoming 365 new days in 2022?

It is hard to let the holidays go, however, time must go on, we have to focus on the future, and let the past go.

Etymologically, January in Latin is Ianuarius, from the word ianua which means door. In Ancient Greek Mythology, there was a two-faced god who has a forward face and a backward face. This god is named Dewa Yanus or the god of doors. The front face is always smiling and optimistic, while the back face is always gloomy. We can interpret it to start this first month by opening the door to good things.

Geographically, January’s celebrations are not the same applies to every place. Several places celebrate the same event but in different ways or traditions according to the social and cultural life in each region.
